Last night I got a few solid hours to work on the revision. Basically, I cracked open the editorial notes I'd received and copied everything that applied to the first 10 chapters into my notebook. I glanced through the rest to make sure those ideas were bouncing around in my brain as I restructure this book.
And that's what it is. A full restructuring now. Not awesome, of course, but it looks like what's needed.
This morning, I began editing my new first chapters. Have seen a spot or two that still needs work, but noting big -- just little line edits. Will be getting this out to critters soon, I think. CRITTERS BEWARE!
I need to do some hefty reading this evening. By hefty, I mean a lot, not like hard stuff. Fun stuff. |
